The Animal Rescue Fund (ARF) was founded in October of 1999 by Mr. Barry Newton.

Our mission is to provide funds for the emergency treatment of injured or sick animals that are stray, abandoned, or of unknown owner.

In furtherance of our mission, we provide educational support and instruction in the prevention of cruelty to animals. The Animal Rescue Fund adheres to, and supports, spay/neuter programs. We also support local, state, and national animal protection laws.

We are an all volunteer, 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization.

ARF is currently raising funds to build the Harold Weiner Animal Shelter in Groton, Connecticut on land donated to us by the late Mr. Harold Weiner.
